Jackson, Krouse each charged with 42 criminal misdemeanors

Commissioners Tricia Jackson and Jennifer Krouse are each facing 42 misdemeanor criminal charges stemming from their coordinated protest last fall when they deliberately skipped seven consecutive county commission meetings.

From Sept. 21 through Nov. 16, Jackson and Krouse purposely coordinated their absences from meetings to prevent the commission from establishing quorums and making decisions about county government business, according to two separate nine-page, identical criminal complaints filed Tuesday in Jefferson County Magistrate Court.
